Beyond my degree from NESA, I have taken over 900 hours of continuing
education.
In September 2010, I completed a year-long class in sports
medicine and orthopedics at NESA.
In May 2007, I went to China
to study Medical Qi Gong. I have continued Qi Gong study at AIMC
in Berkeley, CA.
In March 2007, I took a class in Sacramento, CA, in Traditional
Japanese Acupuncture with Ikeda Masakazu from Japan, with whom I
also studied in 2000 and 2001 when he came to Boston. Ikeda Sensei
is the author of The
Practice of Japanese Acupuncture and Moxibustion: Classic Principles
in Action.
In March 2006, I took a 3-day class on Acupuncture for the Cancer
Patient at Memorial
Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.
In July 2005, I completed a 2-year, 120-hour class in Japanese Acupuncture
with Miki Shima, OMD, ND, LAc, in San Francisco, with certification
by the Japanese-American
Acupuncture Foundation. I also attended the Japanese Acupuncture
Conference in Hawai’i.
In October 2005, I took a Shiatsu
Intensive with Ken Nelson at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health
in Massachusetts.
I became certified as a Yoga Teacher by the White
Lotus Foundation in 1998, and by the Tallapoosa
Center for Inner Arts in 2006.
My herb gardens are certified organic by the Maine
Organic Farmers & Gardeners Association. |
